A Walk to Remember

Sunday here in Bolivia we celebrated Dia del Peaton, which means Day of the Pedestrian. On this day, anything that uses a motor is prohibited from early in the morning until around five in the evening.

Normally filled with taxis, buses and motorcycles, the streets were instead filled with pedestrians. Almost everyone in the city got out and enjoyed walking around in the streets for a day, including our Dreamers.

It was so exciting for the Dreamers to be able to walk in the street. Normally, we have a “No walking in the street” rule, but on this day, it was encouraged. They thought it was so cool to be able to play in the street where the cars normally drive. Everyone had a great time.
