Volunteering can be a big sacrifice. Up and leaving everything you’re comfortable with (friends, family, your home) for several months and heading off to a land that’s equally as foreign as Jupiter or Mars.
Think you could do it?
Well this girl did!
Miriam is a volunteer that has come to us all the way from Germany. She is currently a student and decided that she wanted to use some time off to go somewhere and volunteer for 3 months. We are so blessed that she chose to come to Cochabamba!
She has been here for three weeks now and is loving every minute of it. She helps out for five days a week at the House of Dreams. She organizes a lot of games for the younger children and helps out the school children with their homework. Oh and I can’t forget the brave, brave act of helping out with the daunting task called bed time!
She has been nothing short of a blessing to have around for the children and the workers alike. We are so grateful and humbled when people give so much of themselves to help our Dreamers.
